Technical problems disrupt automated border checks at Riga Airport

Technical problems disrupted the automated border control system, known as ABC gates, at Riga Airport on Wednesday afternoon, periodically causing queues, LSM reported.

The State Border Guard said longer lines formed at the arrivals border control sector, mainly when several flights from countries outside the Schengen Area landed at the same time.

Specialists were working to resolve the problems and restore the system as soon as possible. The Border Guard apologised to passengers for the inconvenience.

Riga Airport said queues had formed at times but were no longer present.
