Ralf Tribuntsov sets Estonian record to win in Slovenia

Ralf Tribuntsov set a new Estonian record in the 50-metre freestyle at the Slovenian Championships in Maribor, ERR reported.
Tribuntsov posted the fastest time in the morning heats, finishing in 22.32 seconds. He was even faster in the final, winning in 22.05 and improving his previous national record by two hundredths of a second.
Daniel Zaitsev finished second in the heats with a season-best 22.48. He also took second place in the final, recording 22.67.
The two swimmers are using the Slovenian championships to test their form ahead of the European Championships, which begin in Paris in two weeks. Tribuntsov will also compete in the 50-metre butterfly and backstroke, while Zaitsev will enter the 50-metre butterfly.
