Twenty Estonian athletes to compete at European Athletics Championships

Twenty Estonian athletes will represent the country at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham from August 10 to 16, ERR reported.

Decathlon competitor Johannes Erm secured automatic qualification as the reigning European champion.

Decathletes Karel Tilga and Rasmus Roosleht, pole vaulter Marleen Mülla and javelin thrower Gedly Tugi qualified by meeting the entry standards.

Sprinters Ann Marii Kivikas and Henri Sai, marathon runners Liis-Grete Hussar, Karel Hussar and Tiidrek Nurme, steeplechase runner Laura Maasik, 400-metre hurdler Viola Hambidge, high jumper Karmen Bruus, pole vaulters Allika Inkeri Moser, Robert Kompus and Henri Apri, long jumper Liisa-Maria Lusti, triple jumper Viktor Morozov, hammer thrower Adam Kelly and decathlete Risto Lillemets secured their places through the ranking system.
