Body of drowned man found in Kaunas district quarry pond

Firefighters discovered the body of a man in a quarry pond in the Kaunas district, local media LRT reports.

According to the Fire Protection and Rescue Department, a search for a missing person was extended on Wednesday in the Drąseikiai quarry pond in Lapių seniūnija, Kaunas district. At 12:17, the body of a male was found approximately 100 meters from the shore at a depth of around 6 meters.

Four rescue workers participated in the search, using a rescue boat.
