Lithuania to see temperatures up to 29°C on Thursday afternoon

Temperatures in Lithuania will rise to 29°C in some areas on Thursday afternoon, with even hotter conditions expected on Friday, according to Tadas Kantautas, a synoptist at the Hydrometeorological Service, as reported by LRT RADIJAS and LRT.lt.

Thursday will bring variable cloud cover, with more clouds in eastern Lithuania until noon before they disperse in the afternoon. Rain is unlikely, and winds will be light. Afternoon temperatures will range from 24°C to 29°C, with the warmest conditions in western and southwestern regions, where highs of 27-29°C are forecast.

Friday night will be clear and dry, with temperatures between 12°C and 17°C. Daytime will see mostly sunny and dry weather, though short bursts of rain and thunderstorms may develop in western, southwestern, and central regions by late afternoon. Temperatures will climb further, reaching 28-32°C in most areas, with some southeastern regions hitting 33°C. Western coastal areas will be slightly cooler, at 24-27°C.

On Saturday, scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in places, with nighttime temperatures of 12-17°C and daytime highs of 22-27°C.
