Bodies found in Kaišiadorys district, Kalvarija municipality, and Utena
Police reported the discovery of four bodies in separate incidents across Lithuania on Monday, as confirmed by the Police Department and local authorities.
In Kaišiadorys district, a decomposed body of an unidentified man, estimated to be between 55 and 60 years old, was found in a marshy area near Antakalnis village around 9 p.m. Firefighters, wearing protective suits, retrieved the body from the wet, peat-filled meadow and handed it over to police. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of death.
In Kalvarija municipality, a man born in 1988 was found dead in Asava village at approximately 2:17 p.m. with no visible signs of external violence. Meanwhile, in Utena, a woman born in 1987 was discovered dead on Aušros Street around 7:30 p.m. Police have initiated pre-trial investigations into both cases to establish the circumstances of their deaths.
