Lithuania’s health ministry to relocate to new Vilnius offices in September

Lithuania’s Ministry of Health will move to new premises in Vilnius starting 1 September, the Verslo žinios portal reports.

The ministry will relocate from its current building on Vilniaus Street in the capital’s centre to the “3 burės” business centre on Lvivo Street. According to the ministry, the existing space, leased from Turto Bank, no longer meets modern requirements due to insufficient workstations and functionality.

Turto Bank, after reviewing its real estate portfolio in Vilnius, confirmed it could not offer alternative state-owned premises of the required size, thus allowing the ministry to seek new accommodation.

The ministry has signed a lease agreement with the company “Eastnine 3Bures-1-2” at a monthly cost of €49,000. The move will free up part of the former Ryšių Rūmų building, the remainder of which is managed by the investment fund of “INVL Asset Management”. While the fund received reconstruction permits last year, no immediate plans for work have been announced.
