Summer heat to return after cool Tuesday, temperatures to reach 31°C by weekend
Lithuania will see a return to summer-like warmth after a cool Tuesday, with temperatures potentially reaching 31°C by the end of the week, according to the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.
Tuesday will remain cool, with temperatures ranging from 17–22°C, though coastal areas started the day at around 16°C, while the rest of the country saw 11–13°C, forecaster Janas Voitkevičius told LRT Radio. Short rain showers and possible thunderstorms are expected, with unstable cloud cover and wind gusts of 9–14 m/s. Coastal winds may strengthen to 15–18 m/s.
Warmer weather arrives on Wednesday, with temperatures climbing to 19–24°C during the day and 8–13°C at night. Winds will ease but remain moderate, with some areas still seeing brief rain. Coastal regions will see 14–17°C.
Thursday will be dry, though patchy fog may form overnight. Light winds are expected, with lows of 10–15°C and daytime highs of 22–27°C.
Friday will stay warm, with temperatures between 26–31°C, though some areas may experience short rain showers with thunder. Wind gusts could reach 15–20 m/s.
Saturday will bring more rain, particularly at night, with daytime highs of 23–28°C.
