Young man dies in Vilnius hospital after electric shock at construction site

A young man has died in a Vilnius hospital after suffering an electric shock at a construction site in the Vilnius district, the Lithuanian Police Department reported on Friday.

The 19-year-old man, born in 2007, was electrocuted on Monday at a construction site in Aukštieji Rūpuciai. He was rushed to a hospital in the capital, but doctors were unable to save his life. He was pronounced dead at approximately 22:45 on Friday evening.

Police have launched a pre-trial investigation into potential violations of workplace safety and health regulations.
