New analytical centre Arch Frontline begins operations under Bruveris

A new analytical centre, Arch Frontline, has launched in Lithuania, according to a press release. The centre will conduct research and analysis on geopolitics, security, and political processes, while also disseminating relevant information to the public and media. It will provide consultations on the practical application of its findings.

The centre is led by Vytautas Bruveris, a journalist, commentator, and expert in Lithuanian and international politics and security. Its newly launched website, archfrontline.eu, outlines its focus on the rise of authoritarianism and its threats—both globally and in domestic politics. The name Arch Frontline (Lithuanian for “Main Front Line”) reflects this central theme.

Bruveris stated that authoritarianism is currently the primary challenge to democracies, affecting security, politics, economy, and culture. He highlighted the need to examine how democracies can counter this threat, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and understand the growing unity among non-democratic regimes. The centre will prioritise Russia’s aggression in Ukraine and its global implications.

“The modern world is becoming smaller and more interconnected. There is a growing demand—not just among experts but also the broader public—for professional, accessible, and authentic analysis of global events. We aim to meet this demand,” Bruveris said.

The centre will work to clarify and accelerate understanding of key processes and events, their essence, and potential future scenarios. It will also propose criteria for evaluating emerging realities and ways to engage with them. Its audience includes the general public, experts, policymakers, political elites, and media.

Arch Frontline will leverage and expand its network of contacts in politics, state institutions, expert communities, and media—both in Lithuania and internationally—to establish itself as a trusted hub for analysis and information.
