Lithuania’s Hydrometeorological Service has warned of an approaching atmospheric front bringing rain, with heavy downpours expected in some areas, LRT reports.

On Saturday, the country will experience unstable, partly cloudy weather with brief but intense summer showers in many regions. Thunderstorms are likely, accompanied by wind gusts of up to 15–20 m/s. Temperatures will remain warm, reaching 23–28°C inland and 20–22°C along the coast.

Sunday will be slightly drier, with only scattered showers and a lower chance of thunderstorms, mainly in southern Lithuania. Winds will shift to the southwest and west at 7–12 m/s, with no strong gusts expected. Temperatures will begin to drop, ranging from 13–18°C at night to 21–26°C during the day, and 18–20°C on the coast.

A new cyclone will bring further rain on Monday, with heavy downpours and thunderstorms in many areas. Winds will strengthen, particularly in western regions, where gusts are forecast. Temperatures will fall further, with lows of 11–16°C and highs of 15–20°C, though eastern regions may see slightly warmer conditions at 21–24°C.

Unsettled weather will persist into Tuesday, with strong winds, a high likelihood of thunderstorms, and intense rain. However, conditions are expected to gradually improve from Wednesday, with showers becoming less intense. Winds will remain strong but without severe gusts. Temperatures will slowly rise again, with Wednesday’s lows at 10–15°C and highs of 18–23°C.
