Temperatures to reach 29°C in parts of Lithuania on Thursday, showers expected on Saturday

Parts of Lithuania will see temperatures climb to 29°C on Thursday, with a shift to unsettled weather by Saturday, according to the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

Forecaster Janas Voitkevičius told LRT Radio that Thursday will bring fair weather with no significant rainfall, with temperatures ranging from 24°C to 29°C. The Curonian Spit will be cooler, at around 21–23°C.

Friday will remain mostly pleasant, though brief showers and possible thunderstorms are expected in some areas. Overnight temperatures will drop to 13–18°C, with daytime highs again reaching 24–29°C. Patchy fog and light winds are also forecast.

Saturday will bring changeable conditions, with short spells of rain and thunderstorms, particularly in western regions. Winds will strengthen to 8–13 m/s, with gusts up to 15–20 m/s in western Lithuania. Temperatures will range from 15–20°C at night to 23–28°C during the day, with coastal areas seeing 20–22°C.

Sunday will be overcast, with widespread showers, thunderstorms, and stronger winds of 9–14 m/s, gusting up to 15–20 m/s in western regions. Temperatures will drop slightly, with overnight lows of 13–18°C and daytime highs of 21–26°C.

Early next week, strong winds of 15–20 m/s will persist, and temperatures will fall further due to increased cloud cover, with overnight lows of 11–16°C and daytime highs of just 15–20°C.
