Agnė Širinskienė elected as Democratic faction leader in Seimas
Lithuanian public broadcaster LRT reports that Agnė Širinskienė has been elected as the new leader of the ruling Democratic Union “For Lithuania” faction in the Seimas (parliament).
The announcement was made during a plenary session on Tuesday. Širinskienė replaces Lukas Savickas, who recently assumed the role of energy minister. The Democratic faction currently has 13 members, making it the second-largest in the ruling coalition.
