Dobrovolskas to serve as Ruginienė’s press representative at ministry

Ignas Algirdas Dobrovolskas will serve as the press representative for Inga Ruginienė at the Ministry of Social Security and Labour, as confirmed by Dobrovolskas himself to ELTA.

Dobrovolskas previously worked as an advisor to the Prime Minister since September, when Ruginienė began serving as head of government. Earlier, while Ruginienė was Minister of Social Security and Labour, he held the position of her communications advisor, responsible for shaping communication on social security and labour issues.

Before joining the government, Dobrovolskas was a business news journalist at ELTA from 2022, later becoming the agency’s business news editor in 2024. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Vilnius University’s Institute of International Relations and Political Science in 2022 and a master’s degree in international relations and diplomacy from the same institution in 2024.

ELTA notes that Ruginienė’s government resigned after the ruling coalition was reshuffled, and Mindaugas Sinkevičius announced his decision to form a new cabinet.
