Suspected improvised explosive device found in Klaipėda car park

A suspected improvised explosive device was discovered in a public car park in Klaipėda on Monday morning, according to a report by LRT.

The object was found at around 9:17 AM near an advertising board in a parking lot on Smiltynės Street. Bomb disposal experts from the Aras special unit arrived at the scene and identified a homemade explosive device, which they then removed for disposal.

An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway.
