The Lithuanian army’s Grand Duke Butigeidis Dragoon Battalion has launched its field tactics exercises, “Dragūnų įniršis 26” (Dragoon Fury 26), in Kazlų Rūda, the national broadcaster LRT reports.

The drills, taking place at the Brigadier General Kazys Veverskis training ground until July 23, will assess the battalion’s readiness to conduct tactical marches, engagement with enemy forces, and defensive operations. Advanced command and control technologies, as well as the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and counter-drone systems in tactical missions, will also be tested.

Members of the Lithuanian Volunteer Forces and the Lithuanian Riflemen’s Union will participate alongside the Dragoon Battalion troops.
