Hailstorm hits northern Lithuania
Northern Lithuania experienced a hailstorm on Sunday, with residents reporting hail covering the ground, according to LRT.lt.
Local weather enthusiasts began sharing videos and photos in a Facebook group around 5 p.m., showing hail scattered across the area.
The coming days will remain cool and overcast. On Monday night, short-term rain is expected in many regions, with thick cloud cover, strong winds—primarily from the west—and gusts of 15–17 m/s along the coast. Temperatures will stay between 10–15°C due to the dense clouds.
Monday will see variable cloudiness, with brief showers in many areas and possible thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures will range from 17–22°C, with rain expected to ease by evening.
On Tuesday, a new zone of thick clouds will arrive from the west, bringing overcast conditions with occasional clear spells. Intermittent rain is forecast in many regions throughout the day and night, accompanied by moderate west-southwest winds. Temperatures will drop to 10–15°C at night and rise to 15–20°C during the day.
