Lithuania to see hail and squalls on Wednesday, clearer weather from Thursday
Lithuania will experience hail and squalls on Wednesday as a cyclone moves across the country, according to a forecast by the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service reported by LRT RADIJAS and LRT.lt.
Sinoptikė Simona Dalinkevičiūtė of the service said the cyclone will bring rain, thunderstorms, and unstable cloud cover. Hail and squalls of up to 15–20 m/s are most likely in the southern and southeastern regions. Temperatures will range from 27–32°C in eastern Lithuania and 21–26°C in the west, with some sunshine expected despite the overcast conditions.
On Wednesday night, short rain showers, possibly with thunder, are forecast in many areas, with temperatures around 13–18°C. Thursday will see rain in only a few places, with temperatures rising to 21–26°C.
