Police search for suspect after man found beaten in Veisiejai

Police in Lithuania’s Alytus County launched a search in the Veisiejai area, Lazdijai District, early Sunday morning after a 40-year-old man was found beaten, LRT.lt reports.

The victim, born in 1985, sustained multiple injuries and was taken to hospital for medical treatment, according to Eglė Kačinskienė, a spokesperson for Alytus County Police. Authorities have initiated a preliminary investigation into minor bodily harm.

As the suspect remains at large, officers began checking vehicles in the vicinity of Veisiejai in the early hours. The search is ongoing.
