Wooden house engulfed in flames in Lentvaris, man suffers burns to hands and feet

Firefighters are battling a blaze at a wooden house in Lentvaris, according to a report from the Emergency Response Centre (BPC) cited by LRT.

The fire broke out on Geležinkelio Street on Saturday. Authorities received the alert at 11:49 local time. Four fire engines were dispatched to the scene, and the fire was localised by 12:12. Firefighting efforts are ongoing.

A representative of the Fire and Rescue Department’s Situation Coordination Division told ELTA that one person had exited the building before firefighters arrived. The individual suffered minor burns to their hands and feet and was taken to hospital. No other occupants were in the house at the time.

Vilnius County fire and rescue units were deployed to the scene, and the Vilnius County Emergency Medical Services were notified.
