Sunny Saturday to bring 30-degree heatwave to Lithuania
Lithuania is set for a scorching weekend as summer weather takes hold, with temperatures expected to reach 30°C on Saturday, according to the country’s meteorological service.
Elena Kliukina, a forecaster at the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service (LHMT), told LRT Radio that Saturday will be clear, dry, and calm, with light winds. “The weather today is flawless—sunny, dry, with weak winds, and the highest temperature will reach 25–30°C. It will be very summery,” she said.
No rain is expected on Saturday, with variable winds of 3–8 m/s. On Sunday night, some regions may see brief showers and thunderstorms, with winds shifting to southerly and later westerly at 6–11 m/s, gusting up to 15–17 m/s during storms. Temperatures will range from 14–19°C at night to 25–30°C during the day, slightly cooler at 20–24°C along the coast.
Monday will bring a slight chance of rain, with temperatures dropping slightly to 21–26°C inland and 18–20°C in the Curonian Spit.
