Former MP and ex-Freedom Party member Marius Matijošaitis joins Liberal Movement

Former Lithuanian parliament member Marius Matijošaitis, who previously represented the Freedom Party, has joined the Liberal Movement, the party’s Kaunas branch announced on Monday.

Sigitas Šliažas, head of the Kaunas branch, welcomed the decision in a Facebook post, stating that Matijošaitis is a “significant figure with experience, unafraid to ask difficult questions, engage in debates, and work towards a freer, more modern Lithuania.”

Matijošaitis served on the Seimas Foreign Affairs Committee during the 2020–2024 term.
