Fire breaks out at Malsena storage facility in Vievis

A fire broke out at an above-ground storage tank located on the premises of grain processing company Malsena in Vievis, Elektrėnai municipality, on Friday evening, reports LRT.

Initial reports at 18:16 indicated an open flame from a paraffin tank on Stoties Street in Vievis. However, the Situation Coordination Division of the Fire and Rescue Department later clarified that the fire involved insulation material of an above-ground storage tank on Malsena’s property.

Fire and rescue units from the Vilnius region were dispatched to the scene.
