Coalition agreement draft finalised by party representatives
Representatives of the Lithuanian Social Democratic Party (LSDP), the Democratic Union “For Lithuania” and the Lithuanian Farmers and Greens Union (LVŽS) have completed a draft coalition agreement, which will now be finalised by the parties’ leaders, LRT reports.
According to Democrat Lukas Savickas, the editorial team finished its work on Friday, merging three separate documents from each party into a single draft. The process took half a day, as originally planned.
“Essentially, we went through all the provisions and consolidated the three documents into one, which now forms the coalition agreement draft,” Savickas told journalists. He noted that around ten provisions still require agreement on their wording, which the party leaders will resolve among themselves.
The draft coalition agreement is approximately 16 pages long. The parties’ leaders will now conduct the final coordination of the document.
