Body of a young man found at Lifosa in Kėdainiai
Early on Thursday morning, emergency services in Kėdainiai received a report of a man with a gunshot wound found on the premises of AB Lifosa, a local company, ringosaikste.lt reports.
According to the Kėdainiai General Assistance Centre, the call was registered at 7:29 AM. The caller reported a bleeding man with a gunshot wound to the head in the company’s facilities. Medical teams and police were dispatched immediately, but the man was declared dead upon their arrival.
Preliminary information suggests the man, born in 1981, took his own life. Kaunas County Chief Police Commissariat confirmed they received the report at 7:33 AM and have launched a pre-trial investigation to determine the cause of death.
AB Lifosa expressed deep condolences to the family and colleagues of the deceased. In a statement, the company said: “We confirm that today, an employee passed away at the company. Emergency services and police are currently on-site, conducting all necessary investigative actions to determine the circumstances of the incident. The entire company community is deeply shocked. In this difficult moment, we extend our deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of our late colleague.”
The company is cooperating with law enforcement and providing all necessary information but has refrained from further comments to avoid interfering with the official investigation.
