Police report two cases of violence against minors
Lithuanian police have launched investigations into two separate incidents of violence against minors in the Švenčionys and Vilnius districts, the ELTA news agency reports.
A 35-year-old woman is suspected of physically assaulting a minor born in 2009 at a residence in the Švenčionys district around 14:30 on Tuesday, causing physical pain. Authorities have initiated a pre-trial investigation for causing physical pain to a close relative or family member.
In a separate incident, a 21-year-old man allegedly assaulted another minor, also born in 2009, during a conflict at a home in the Vilnius district at approximately 15:40 on the same day. A pre-trial investigation for causing physical pain has been opened in this case as well.
