An active cyclone will bring heavy rainfall and thunderstorms to Lithuania starting Wednesday night, the country’s Hydrometeorological Service has warned, as reported by LRT.

According to forecasters, Wednesday will begin with patchy rain in eastern regions, but skies will clear as a high-pressure system dominates, bringing daytime temperatures of 18–23°C and light westerly winds. Conditions will remain partly cloudy.

On Thursday, the cyclone will move in from the south, delivering persistent rain across most of the country overnight. Daytime showers will intensify, with localised heavy downpours and thunderstorms. Winds will shift direction, strengthening to 15–18 m/s, while temperatures drop to 14–19°C—slightly higher in eastern areas.

Friday will see scattered, short-lived showers, with possible thunderstorms and moderate westerly winds. Nighttime lows will range from 8–13°C, with daytime highs of 15–20°C.

Further updates are available on the LRT weather section.
