Lithuania to see temperatures up to 27°C on Tuesday before cooler weather arrives
Temperatures in Lithuania will climb as high as 27°C in places on Tuesday, though cooler and wetter conditions are expected later in the week, according to the country’s Hydrometeorological Service.
Forecaster Janas Voitkevičius told LRT that Tuesday will bring mostly calm and very warm weather, with some areas experiencing thunder. Skies will be partly cloudy, with brief rain possible in western regions during the evening. Winds will remain light, with highs of 23–27°C across most of the country, though the Curonian Spit will see cooler temperatures of 19–21°C.
Overnight into Wednesday, rain will spread across much of Lithuania, particularly in the west. Winds will shift to 4–9 m/s, with lows of 11–16°C. Daytime temperatures on Wednesday will reach 17–22°C, with scattered showers continuing.
Similar conditions are forecast for Thursday and Friday, with widespread rain—locally heavy at times—and possible thunderstorms. Winds will strengthen to 7–12 m/s, with overnight lows of 8–13°C and daytime highs of 14–21°C.
The weekend will bring further rain and thunderstorms, along with cooler temperatures of 15–20°C, the forecaster added.
