EU defence commissioner Kubilius begins two-day visit to Lithuania

European Commissioner for Defence and Space Andrius Kubilius arrives in Lithuania on Sunday for a two-day official visit, the European Commission’s representation in Lithuania announced.

On Sunday, Kubilius will meet with NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Šekerinska. The following day, he will deliver opening remarks and participate in discussions at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly’s plenary session.

Later on Monday, the commissioner will attend the EBAN Congress 2026, where he will speak on innovation and investment in defence and space sectors. He is also scheduled to meet with representatives from space industry companies participating in the EU’s CASSINI initiative.

Kubilius will conclude his visit by addressing the NATO-Ukraine Defence Innovation Forum.
