Lithuania to see summer temperatures of 24°C as warm weather arrives

Lithuania is set for a stretch of warmer weather, with temperatures reaching 24°C as the first days of summer approach, according to the country’s meteorological service.

Elena Kliukina, a forecaster at the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service (LHMS), told LRT Radio that Sunday morning brought calm and clear conditions, with overnight temperatures ranging from 4°C to 9°C and light winds.

“The weather will soften—we can say it will remain mild throughout the first week of summer,” Kliukina said. Scattered brief showers are possible in some areas on Sunday, with easterly winds at 4–9 m/s and daytime highs of 15–20°C, climbing to 22°C in the southwest.

Monday will stay dry, with light winds at night shifting to southerly breezes of 4–9 m/s by day. Overnight lows will dip to 6–11°C, or as low as 3–5°C in the east, while afternoon temperatures rise to 19–24°C, slightly cooler at 16–18°C along the coast.

On Tuesday, isolated showers may return overnight and briefly during the day. Southerly winds will strengthen slightly to 5–10 m/s, with lows of 8–13°C and highs of 20–25°C, or 16–19°C near the Baltic Sea.
