Cooler weather and strong winds forecast for parts of Lithuania

Parts of Lithuania will see temperatures drop to as low as 14°C this week, accompanied by strong winds, the country’s Hydrometeorological Service has warned, as reported by LRT.

According to forecaster Simona Dalinkevičiūtė, Wednesday will bring unstable cloud cover, with brief showers and possible thunderstorms in some areas. Northwestern winds will reach 15–20 m/s, with stronger gusts expected near the coast and in eastern regions. Daytime temperatures will range from 15–20°C, dropping to 12–14°C along the Baltic Sea coast.

Conditions will remain unsettled through Thursday, with overnight lows of 5–10°C and daytime highs of 13–18°C. Winds will stay strong, gusting up to 17 m/s. Light rain is forecast again on Friday, with temperatures between 4–9°C at night and 15–20°C during the day.

The weekend will see a gradual warming trend, with overnight lows of 5–11°C and daytime highs reaching 17–22°C. Coastal areas will remain cooler.
