Drunk man in Vilnius district allegedly stabs woman with knife
A man in Vilnius district has been detained after allegedly stabbing a woman with a knife during a drinking session, Lithuanian National Radio and Television (LRT) reports.
The incident occurred on Monday in Juodšiliai village, where a 38-year-old man, under the influence of alcohol (3.15‰ blood alcohol level), allegedly attacked a 44-year-old woman with a knife. The victim was hospitalised, while the suspect was taken into custody.
Police have launched a pre-trial investigation into charges of causing physical pain or minor bodily harm.
