Vilnius police launch two investigations into violence against minors

Vilnius police have opened two pre-trial investigations into suspected violence against minors, public broadcaster LRT reports.

In the first incident, a 47-year-old man allegedly assaulted a 16-year-old girl in the stairwell of an apartment building on Wednesday evening around 8:50 PM, causing physical pain. The altercation followed a conflict between the two.

Later that same evening, at approximately 10:00 PM, police received a second report of violence against a minor. A 16-year-old boy was injured by an unknown man in a separate incident. The victim declined medical assistance.

Both investigations have been launched on suspicion of causing physical pain or minor bodily harm. No further details have been released.
