Lithuania to see more sunshine, summer-like warmth and brief thunderstorms

Lithuania can expect sunnier weather with summer-like temperatures and isolated thunderstorms over the coming days, according to the country’s hydrometeorological service, as reported by LRT.

Tadas Kantautas, a forecaster with the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service, said Thursday will bring more sunshine than recent days, though cloud cover will increase later. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely, particularly in western regions, with wind gusts reaching 15–17 m/s. Afternoon temperatures will climb to 15–20°C.

Friday’s forecast remains similar, with overnight skies clearing and morning lows of 3–8°C, including possible ground frost. Daytime temperatures will reach 17–22°C, slightly cooler along the Curonian Spit. Brief showers and thunderstorms may return, especially in western areas.

The weekend will see little change, with scattered overnight showers and daytime highs of 17–22°C on Saturday. Rain chances shift eastward, with the warmest conditions on Sunday at 20–25°C, though western regions may stay slightly cooler.
