Prosecutor detained for drunk driving in Kupiškis district

drunk driving, lithuania, prosecutionA prosecutor from Panevėžys Regional Prosecutor’s Office was removed from his post on Monday after police stopped his car in Kupiškis district and found him driving under the influence, LRT reports.
Arvydas Gramba, a prosecutor in the Criminal Prosecution Division, was pulled over around 8 a.m. during a routine traffic check. A breathalyser test recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.9‰, prompting administrative proceedings.
Following notification of the incident, Prosecutor General Nida Grunskienė immediately suspended Gramba from duty. The Internal Investigations Unit of the Prosecutor General’s Office has launched an official review of the case.
