Lithuania to see variable cloud cover with temperatures rising to 22°C

Lithuania will experience partly cloudy skies with occasional sunshine on Monday, with temperatures climbing as high as 22°C in western regions, according to the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

Paulius Starkus, a synoptist with the service, told LRT Radio that a high-pressure system will dominate, with minimal influence from an approaching low-pressure front. While clouds will persist, sunny breaks are expected throughout the day. Conditions will remain mostly dry, though brief showers may reach southwestern areas by evening.

Winds will strengthen, primarily from the south-southeast, with gusts up to 15 m/s along the western coast. Temperatures will range between 17–20°C in most areas, peaking at 22°C in the west. Northeastern regions will stay cooler, at around 15–16°C.

A new low-pressure system will arrive on Tuesday, bringing increased cloud cover overnight and heavier rain spreading from the west. Eastern Lithuania will remain drier with less cloud. Strong southeasterly winds, shifting to west-northwest at 15–17 m/s, will persist, with overnight temperatures staying above 6°C.

Wednesday will see lingering rain as the low-pressure system holds, with clouds gradually clearing in the afternoon. Temperatures will drop to 10–15°C during the day and 4–9°C at night. By Thursday, conditions are expected to warm slightly, though frost may return overnight.
