A woman accused of murdering her ex-husband, a paramedic in Panevėžys, has filed an appeal against her two-month pretrial detention, LRT.lt reports.

Justina Gaigalaitė, the former wife of slain paramedic Mantas Sadauskas, has asked Panevėžys Regional Court to overturn her detention order. Her lawyer submitted the appeal, which the court must review within one week, according to court spokesperson Jolita Gudelienė.

Sadauskas, who also ran a side business delivering trampolines, disappeared on April 20 under suspicious circumstances. Authorities later discovered that a social media account linked to a supposed trampoline order had been deleted, and the daycare center named in the request did not exist.

Investigators suspect the killing may have been motivated by personal conflicts. Three individuals, including Gaigalaitė, have been implicated in the case. While Gaigalaitė and another suspect, Vilius Solkanas, remain in custody, a third suspect—Ilja Solkanas, Vilius’s father—has been released on a €5,000 bail.
