Summer warmth to give way to midweek rain and thunderstorms

Summer-like temperatures will be replaced by rain and thunderstorms by midweek, according to a forecast by the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service reported by **LRT**.

Monday will remain warm, with temperatures reaching 22–27°C in most regions, though brief showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible. Western areas will be cooler at 16–21°C, while coastal regions will see just 13–15°C.

On Tuesday, cloud cover will increase, with highs of 15–20°C across most of the country—cooler at 11–14°C near the coast. Southern and southeastern regions may still reach 24–25°C, accompanied by heavier rainfall.

By Wednesday, temperatures will drop sharply to 10–15°C, with overcast skies, widespread rain, and thunderstorms expected.
