Lithuania to see temperatures rise to 24°C as warm weather arrives

Lithuania will experience a significant shift to warmer weather starting Friday, with temperatures expected to climb as high as 24°C over the weekend, the country’s hydrometeorological service announced.

According to Ineta Daunoravičiūtė, a forecaster with the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service (LHMT), partly cloudy skies will clear by Friday morning, giving way to sunny conditions nationwide. No rain is expected, with westerly winds reaching 5–10 m/s. Daytime temperatures will rise to 15–20°C inland, while coastal areas will see 11–14°C.

The warming trend will continue through the weekend. Saturday will bring clear, dry weather, with overnight lows of 1–6°C—though ground frost of 0 to -5°C remains possible in western regions. Daytime highs will reach 17–22°C inland and 13–16°C along the coast, under sunny skies and moderate southwesterly winds.

Sunday will remain dry and sunny, with overnight temperatures between 5–10°C and no frost expected. Afternoon highs will peak at 19–24°C inland, while coastal areas will see 15–18°C. The warm conditions are forecast to persist until midweek, though Monday may bring brief showers and isolated thunderstorms in some regions.
