Lithuanian MP Linas Urmanavičius leaves Democratic faction in Seimas

Lithuanian lawmaker Linas Urmanavičius has left the opposition Democratic “For Lithuania” faction in the Seimas, the country’s parliament, LRT reported on Tuesday.

Urmanavičius announced his decision to join the Mixed Group of Seimas members during a parliamentary session on Thursday. His departure follows that of former Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis, who left the same faction last week.

The Democratic faction now has 14 remaining members. Urmanavičius was elected to the Seimas from the single-member Jotvingiai constituency.
