Intoxicated man attacks woman and minor in Šiauliai district

A 45-year-old man allegedly assaulted a woman and a minor while intoxicated in Šiauliai district on Monday, Lithuanian police reported.

According to the Šiauliai County Chief Police Commissariat, officers responded to a call at 4:50 PM in Varputėnai village, where a man born in 1981—who refused a sobriety test—had attacked a sober woman born in 1978 and a minor born in 2009. The injured minor was examined at a hospital and released for outpatient treatment.

The suspect has been detained, and a pre-trial investigation has been launched for causing physical pain or minor health impairment.
