Police search for missing elderly man in Trakai district

Lithuanian police are searching for a missing 71-year-old man in the Trakai district, public broadcaster LRT reported on Wednesday.

Algirdas Kriaunevičius, born in 1955, left a care home in Gudašiai village and has not returned, authorities said. He is approximately 170 cm tall, of slight build, with grey hair and a beard. When last seen, he was wearing a light-coloured jacket with bright sleeves and dark trousers.

Police noted that Kriaunevičius has dementia and may be disoriented. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact Trakai district police investigator Jonas Banuškevičius at +370 683 86 709 or call emergency services at 112.
