Spring brings warm weather with temperatures reaching 18°C in parts of Lithuania
Lithuania is experiencing unseasonably warm spring weather, with temperatures climbing to 18°C in some regions, according to the country’s Hydrometeorological Service.
Ineta Daunoravičiūtė, a synoptic meteorologist, told LRT Radio that Wednesday will bring variable cloud cover, with denser clouds in western areas and more sunshine in the east. Brief showers may occur in the west later in the afternoon. Winds will remain light and variable, while temperatures will range from 13°C to 18°C—warmest in the south and east, but cooler in the west at 9–12°C.
On Thursday, scattered showers are expected, particularly in western regions at night and across much of the country during the day. Westerly winds will stay light, with overnight lows between 0°C and 5°C, dipping to slight frosts in places. Daytime highs will reach 10–15°C, though coastal areas will see only 6–9°C.
Friday’s forecast predicts similar conditions, with occasional light, brief rain. Nighttime temperatures will hover around 0–5°C, with possible frosts, while daytime highs will be 8–13°C. Over the weekend, rain will clear, and temperatures will rise to 11–16°C.
