Water supply disruptions possible in parts of Klaipėda this week

Residents in northern Klaipėda may experience temporary water supply interruptions or changes in water quality from Tuesday to Wednesday, the utility Klaipėdos vanduo announced.

The company stated that strategic emergency drills will take place at the city’s first water treatment plant from 10:00 on Tuesday until 10:00 on Wednesday. During this period, the exercises will simulate a prolonged power outage of up to 24 hours to test the utility’s preparedness for extreme conditions.

As a result, some households in the northern part of the port city may face fluctuations in water pressure or quality, the company warned.
