Warmer spring weather expected in Lithuania with temperatures reaching 18°C
Lithuania’s meteorologists are forecasting a noticeable rise in temperatures over the coming days, with highs reaching up to 18°C by Thursday, LRT reports.
After a period of cooler weather, the country will see a gradual warm-up, offering ideal conditions for enjoying spring. Temperatures are expected to climb to 15–17°C in the next few days, peaking at 18°C on Thursday.
Elena Kliukina, a forecaster at the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service (LHMT), told LRT Radio that Sunday morning would begin calm but overcast, with occasional sunshine breaking through. “Right now, Lithuania is mostly cloudy but with some clear patches. The day will remain partly cloudy with intermittent sun,” she said.
Light rain is possible in some areas on Sunday, with easterly winds at 4–9 m/s and temperatures ranging from 8–13°C. Over the next few days, moderate winds will persist but are not expected to be strong. Monday will remain dry, with overnight lows between -3°C and 2°C, warming to 10–15°C during the day.
Tuesday will see similar conditions, with light rain in places and easterly winds of 5–10 m/s at night, increasing to 7–12 m/s by day. Nighttime temperatures will range from -1°C to 4°C, while daytime highs will reach 12–17°C. The warmest day is forecast for Thursday, with temperatures hitting 18°C and minimal chance of rain.
