Vytautas Landsbergis undergoes two eye surgeries after vision problems

health, lithuania, Vytautas LandsbergisFormer Lithuanian head of state Vytautas Landsbergis has undergone two eye surgeries following sudden vision impairment, his son, writer Vytautas V. Landsbergis, announced on Thursday via Facebook.
“Two weeks ago, my father experienced vision problems. After a couple of surgeries, we’re returning home, with two more still ahead,” he wrote. “Doctors aren’t promising miracles—we’re learning to live differently.”
V. V. Landsbergis noted that despite the health challenges, the 93-year-old former leader—who served as chairman of the Supreme Council-Reconstituent Seim from 1990 to 1992—”hasn’t lost his optimism.” Landsbergis later held seats in Lithuania’s parliament and the European Parliament.
