Lithuanian speaker and president to meet with German Bundestag president

The speaker of Lithuania’s parliament, Juozas Olekas, will meet with German Bundestag president Julia Klöckner in Vilnius on Thursday, state news agency ELTA reports.

The German delegation will arrive at the Seimas (parliament) building, where an official photo will be taken in front of state flags, followed by Klöckner signing the guest book. She will then hold talks with Olekas and the chairs of parliamentary committees.

After the meeting, Klöckner is scheduled to address a plenary session of the Seimas. Later on Thursday, she will also meet with Lithuanian president Gitanas Nausėda.
