Man killed in Palanga, three suspects detained

A man was killed in the Lithuanian coastal city of Palanga early Saturday, with police detaining three suspects—two of whom were heavily intoxicated—state news agency BNS reported.

The body of the 42-year-old victim, born in 1984, was discovered shortly after midnight. Authorities apprehended three male suspects, aged between 37 and 54, and transferred them to the Klaipėda County Chief Police Commissariat’s detention facility.

Toxicology tests revealed blood alcohol levels of 1.78 and 3.11 per mille in two of the detained men. The investigation remains ongoing.
