French court rules to extradite Vladimir Antonov to Lithuania

banking, extradition, lithuaniaA French court has decided to extradite Vladimir Antonov, a former shareholder of the collapsed Lithuanian bank Snoras and a Russian citizen, to Lithuania, his lawyer announced on Friday, according to the Baltic News Service (BNS).
Antonov’s legal representative stated that his client intends to appeal the ruling.
The decision follows years of legal proceedings connected to the 2011 collapse of Snoras, once one of Lithuania’s largest banks. Antonov, who held a significant stake in the institution, has faced allegations related to its financial mismanagement and subsequent bankruptcy.
