Fraudsters trick elderly man out of €15,000 in Vilnius
A 64-year-old man in Vilnius was defrauded of €15,000 last month after unknown individuals deceived him in a scam, the Lithuanian Police Department reported Thursday.
The victim, a resident of Šalčininkai district born in 1962, filed a complaint with local police this week, stating that on February 20 around 2 p.m. in Vilnius, unidentified persons had tricked him into handing over the money. Authorities have launched a pre-trial investigation into the fraud.
